This is the page where we tell how wonderful we are and how everybody loves everything we do, where we cast our eyes down modestly and say, Aw shucks, twarnt nuthin.
But its not really about us. Its all about people who braved the geographical and psychological distance from their normal working environment to come here and do some really challenging and reflective work. These notes and letters are announcements about what they accomplished here. They did difficult and often delicate work, but they left energized, refreshed, and ready to work more effectively. They left here with new skills and new plans that they, not we, built. They left feeling renewed and excited about the value of their work and with a new level of creativity and commitment. Truly, we cant say, Shucks, twarnt nuthin, because when you leave with focused energy and exciting plans for action and growth: Thats really something!
What people are saying: (most recent quotes in purple)
You always remember your first teacher and maybe one other. Ill remember you.
School Director, Armavir, Armenia
Because the size of the group was right, there was much more personal interaction between the team members, resulting in my gaining a much better understanding of what I can bring to this team
You created an environment that encouraged us to be open and candid. I think we all gained a lot of respect for each others capabilities.
Operations Project Director, Wyeth Global Operations
I love the idea of coupling the mental training room with the physical training room at your facility. I may be a bit unique, but the exercise room really recharged my batteries. Strategic planning/training exercises are mentally EXHAUSTING and this enabled me to break it up
The agenda was varied, well paced and met our needs
I learned more about me than I ever have from any other seminar, nothing miraculous, but things Id never perceived.
Assistant Vice President, Quality Assurance, Wyeth-Ayrest
I just wanted to thank both of you for being such wonderful hosts. Your facility has a calming and inspirational affect on a person, all rolled into one. Everything about the day was fabulous. From the moment we walked in, until we left, we were all treated special. Your eye towards the little details made such a major difference.
Vice President, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters
I feel the two days did so much for moving the team in a positive direction. I sat amongst the flip chart pages last evening, preparing to write-up the goals and work we did. But, the two days involved so much more than a pile of paper.
Director of Information Technology, Greenmountain.com
The animals (cats & dogs) created a relaxed setting. You kept us from going where we have always gone before
We ended up where we needed to get and got as far as we should have
Helping an organization to be effective and successful in its pursuits is a daunting challenge for every leader. We often have imperfect self-images and too frequently our organization compass needle gets a bit out of kilter. I am so glad that CoachWorks Farm is my ally.
